Enseignement Supérieur
Formation professionnelle continue
Traditional music department (cultural areas of France)
Future careers
The program prepares students for various careers and helps them develop a personal musical and artistic approach that considers the current developments in the artistic fields:
- Instrumentalist and/or vocal performing artist
- Live performance, cross-disciplinary artistic projects (music, dance, theater, etc.)
- Musician-teacher, conservatory or music school teacher (bachelor in music and vocal teaching (DE))
The program is designed around three complementary pillars:
- Heritage dimension (collecting)
- Scientific dimension (research)
- Interpretation and creation
Instrumental and vocal teaching: Mentorship
Individual instrumental or vocal teaching is conducted through mentorship: a reference artist is selected each year in consultation between the student and the coordinator.
Teachers for 2024-2025: Perrine Vrignault, Antonin Poquet, Clémence Cognet, Stéphane Grondin.
International dimension
As holder of the Erasmus Charter since 2010 and a member of the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC), pôle Aliénor offers students the opportunity to spend one or two semesters at a partner institution through the Erasmus+ program.
Spending part of your studies abroad offers many advantages:
– Discovering new cultures and different approaches to music, its teaching, and related professions
– Improving your foreign language skills– Enhancing your résumé/CV for future career opportunities
– Meeting new people and building a professional network
Any student enrolled in the bachelor in performance program (DNSPM) may apply for a study period abroad. Thanks to the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), studies completed abroad are recognized and credited within the academic program of the home institution.
An Erasmus+ partnership project called TUNE (Traditional Music Undergraduate Network in Europe) took place from 2022 to 2024. This project led to the development of a joint module for all students from participating European universities. Traditional music students meet and collaborate with students from other European countries throughout their training at Professional musician bachelor (excluding pedagogical bachelor). The project is structured in two forms: online courses shared among universities throughout a semester, a one-week trip focused on immersion in the culture of a different country each year.
