Future careers

The program prepares students for various careers and helps them develop a personal musical and artistic approach that considers the current developments in the artistic fields.

A professional musician’s career often includes a wide range of activities (“portfolio career”):

  • Orchestra musician, member of an instrumental or vocal ensemble
  • Chamber music, live performance
  • Live performance, cross-disciplinary artistic projects (music, dance, theater, etc.)
  • Musician-teacher, conservatory or music school teacher (bachelor in music and vocal teaching (DE))

The activities aimed at preparing students for professional integration are tailored differently according to the study departments and the areas of the profession.
Most of the courses take place in Tours, at the Conservatoire Francis Poulenc.
