Registration at pôle Aliénor

First registration
Following the entrance examination, admitted candidates must confirm their registration with sending documents asked in the admission e-mail. Administrative registration is completed with an individual meeting with Sophie Beausse.

Re-registration
For students already registered, administrative registration must be done at the start of academic year with an individual meeting with Sophie Beausse. 

Tuition
Registration fees are 290€ per year. Payment can be staged.

Students who benefits from social grant don’t have to pay for registration fees.

University registration

Must register at university :

  • Performance bachelor’s students who haven’t graduated from musicology licence yet
  • Master’s students

Registration to Poitiers university  
Registration terms are given by university administration of Arts and Human sciences department of Poitiers university. Students are direclty contacted by e-mail in July or August.

Registration to Tours university  
Students involved must follow Parcoursup procedure
Students registered in another French university must ask their origin university their registration transfer

Studies support, mentoring

Students wishing to receive support in their studies (organization of work, methodology, written work, etc.) can benefit from mentoring and be monitored by a student tutor throughout the year. At the start of the new academic year, an email will be sent out to all students to identify those who wish to be supported and those who can provide.

Student card

With registration, a student card is given. Student card allows being identified as a student and to benefit discounts in cultural locations (museums, cinemas, theatres, shops ect).

E-mail address

Each pole Aliénor students gets @polealienor.eu email address. Exclusively on this address students receive important information related to student life and education, during the academic year.

Tech facilities (parc informatique)

Internet and computer access is provided for students in pole Aliénor. Universities of Poitiers and Tours also provide facilities.

Resources

Students can access several musical and research resources : scores, CD, DVD, pedagogical books, ect…

Libraries

pĂ´le AliĂ©nor’s student card allows access to Poitiers conservatoire’s library and university of Poitiers music department’s library. Moreover, pĂ´le AliĂ©nor recommend applying to François-Miterrand media center of Poitiers. Access to music library of Tours is allowed with a free registration ; this registration allows access and lend of resources.

Instruments and equipment

pôle Aliénor provides pedagogical equipment such as instruments, audio or video, computers, instrumental practice places, scores. Each student will have to deposit 300 euros, that is cashed only in case of no restitution or damage.

Student’s well-being during their studies is one of the priorities for pôle Aliénor. Several actions and developments are made throughout the year to enhance student life.

Students lounge room “La Plage”

After 2 years of investigation, pôle Aliénor provides its students a space dedicated to relaxation, team work …  Soon, will be available access to free consultations with specialists (physio, osteopath) regarding risks of intense music practice.

This opportunity has been possible thanks to corporate sponsorship with Mutuelle de Poitiers reducing rent cost by 50%..

Financial help of 3 000 €  from  crĂ©dit agricole Touraine-Poitou  also contributed to the opening of this wellness space.

This space, which the students have named “La plage”, is completely dedicated to them. They are autonomous in the management of this space and must abide by the basic rules that have been set. The space is made up of several rooms:

  • Living room
  • Lunch area
  • Kitchen
  • Computer room
  • Co-working space
  • Zen room


Unit “Vigilance-caring”

This unit created since start of academic year 2019 allows to follow and listen to students facing difficult situations. Unit is 3 permanent members of pôle Aliénor staff ; an email address can be used by students, teachers, permanent staff to alert on situations.

Apsytude

pĂ´le AliĂ©nor has established a partnership with the Apsytude association “Free access to psychologists for students” and has been sharing this system with the EESI (European School of Image) in Poitiers since January 2022. It allows students to benefit from free online consultations with a psychologist. Within this framework, speed meetings are organized by Apsytude in both establishments at the beginning of the academic year in order to inform students about the system and also to allow them to meet a psychologist, test their stress and assess their quality of life. The Apsytude program is partially funded by the CPAM de la Vienne.

Free supply of menstrual protection

pôle Aliénor is committed to combating menstrual precariousness, and is making periodical protection available free of charge. Boxes containing sanitary towels and tampons from the French brand “Les petites choses” have been set up in various parts of the pôle Aliénor. Students are free to help themselves.

Gender-based violence and sexual harassment-VHSS

pôle Aliénor is committed to the fight against sexist and sexual violence and harassment. Several actions are implemented:
Students can access the guide “Preventing and acting against sexist and sexual violence”, edited by the Ministry of Culture. It centralizes essential informations :

  • identify reprehensible acts ;
  • publicize the tools and resources available to students;
  • disseminate best practices in the field of speech gathering;
  • clarify existing procedures.

The guide can be consulted on the student cloud.

Students who witness or are victims of violence can contact the reporting unit set up by the Ministry of Culture. It is free, anonymous and confidential.

Awareness-raising campaigns are programmed towards students, teachers and staff memebers throughout the academic year in partnership with Vienne CIDFF (women’s and family rights information center).

Housing

University residences

The CROUS offers a wide range of functional, furnished and equipped housing, from single rooms to three-room apartments. University housing is allocated at the end of June in priority to scholarship students. Non-scholarship students can access it according to the available places. Apartment rentals

Individuals (private landlords) put ads online for rooms, studios, empty or furnished apartments, alone or in shared apartments. You must contact them directly. The site http://www.lokaviz.fr/ lists offers of accommodation in private homes.

Catering

The university restaurants and cafeterias of the Crous allow you to have lunch at a lower cost. Meals are to be paid with the Izly electronic payment service.

Cycling

There are facilities in the city of Poitiers to facilitate the movement of cyclists (cycle paths, soft lanes etc.). For all training locations, there are uncovered bicycle parking facilities on site or nearby. The Cap vélo service offers standard or electric bicycle hire. A reduced rate is offered to students.
