Continuous professional development in artistic fields

Continuous professional training is a national legal obligation under Article L6311-1 of the French Labor Code. It is a form of learning offered to professionals in artistic sector to improve their skills or acquire new knowledge.

Since 2001, pôle Aliénor has been offering its expertise to meet the needs of professionals and has been developing a continuing professional training program each year.

The training programs are built towards various audiences: teachers in local government institutions (conservatories, community music schools) or in association-based schools, artists (dancers, musicians, circus performers, actors), institution directors, administrative and educational managers, public officials (regional cultural officers, elected representatives for culture), health professionals (physiotherapists, psychomotor therapists, etc.).

Several training formats are tailored to individual needs:

  • long-term, certification or diploma courses
  • modular training programs
  • “short” workshops lasting 1 to 3 days
  • workshops for territorial agents
  • “tailor-made” training programs*
  • masterclasses and regular training sessions for dancers and musicians

Each year, over 300 professionals benefit from the training programs offered by pôle Aliénor.

*To support teachers with an artistic and educational project, pôle Aliénor offers tailor-made training. Pôle Aliénor collaborates with the institution to design a training program tailored to the needs of its teachers.

Each studio is adapted to technical needs: dance studios, studio dedicated to amplified contemporary music, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities. Pôle Aliénor ensures access to the necessary educational materials for each training activity: skeletons, balls, mats, elastics, yoga blocks, audio and video equipment, flipcharts, and music software. The training programs offered can be held in hybrid format: both online and in-person. Documentary resources in music and dance are available.

The acquired skills during training are evaluated by the trainer through practical exercises and/or simulations. Formalized in the training certificate, it is sent to each participant after the training. As part of an ongoing commitment to improving the offerings, each participant completes a satisfaction survey, which also gathers training requests. Depending on the training attended, the evaluation and certification methods may vary.

Vigilance, benevolence, equality, and non-Discrimination

The pôle Aliénor has been actively working for several years to ensure the well-being of its students and trainees. It was decided to write a charter and incorporate it into its institutional project as a fundamental element. The goal set by pôle Aliénor is to be an institution where benevolence and respect for individuals are affirmed, defended, and transmitted through a stance of non-discrimination. An alert and listening unit has been established, and a dedicated email address allows students to request a meeting, as well as anyone (administrative staff, teachers, students) to make reports. vigilancebienveillance@polealienor.eu

To amicably resolve any potential disputes that may arise with students, trainees, teachers, and staff, pôle Aliénor offers a mediation service.
